Conference articles

  1. Oscar Acosta, Cemil Göksu, Pascal Haigron, Cecile Moisan, and Antoine Lucas. Analyse quantitative d'un volume image par angioscopie virtuelle. In Oral presentation. GRETSI'03, Paris, France, pages 225-228, september 8-11 2003 .
Abstract: In the vascular field, precise knowledge of the geometric parameters of the arteries and lesions is necessary for preoperative diagnosis and choice of adapted endovascular tools. Beyond visualization, virtual angioscopy must provide functions of exploration and quantitative analysis of vascular structures for the diagnosis, planning and assistance of interventions. We present a geometrical and functional extension of the virtual endoscope model, allowing it to perform, during virtual exploratory navigation and along the axis of anatomical structures, the adaptive, operator-independent and accurate extraction of the internal surface of the vessels, especially in the presence of lesions. The evaluation of quantitative analysis of vascular lesions based on virtual angioscopy within a CT volume image has been performed using an animal model of restenosis.
