Biography
Sumon Shahriar finished his PhD on semi-structured (XML) data transformation with constraints for data integration in an ARC Discovery Project from data and web engineering laboratory (currently data analytics group) in computer and information science school, University of South Australia in 2010. He got his B.Sc.(Hons.) and M.S. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering with first class from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Sumon has worked on pattern recognition in sensor and model data for information retrieval, approximate information retrieval in sensor data, pattern-based forecasting in sensor data, spatial-temporal prediction of events using data mining and machine learning techniques in water quality. He is currently working on data mining and machine learning on temporal data.
His research interests include database, data and web engineering, data transformation and integration, data publishing, data quality, data mining and machine learning.
